I'm Alex Rivera — I design and build digital products end to end, from the first wireframe to the deployed interface. Based between two disciplines, comfortable in both.
I've spent the last seven years moving between design and development, which means I rarely hand off a project without understanding both sides of it. I started as a visual designer, taught myself to code so my ideas didn't die in a handoff, and now work across the full lifecycle of a product.
My favorite work sits at the intersection of clarity and craft — interfaces that are easy to use on the first try, and codebases that are easy to extend a year later. I've worked with early-stage startups building their first product and established teams rethinking an old one.
Outside of client work, I write about design systems, contribute to a couple of open-source component libraries, and I'm slowly building a small type foundry on the side.
